No matter what you eat or where you eat, there’s NOTHING like Mom’s food.

There is a certain level of comfort knowing that the food you eat is made with love and care. Gordan Ramsey may not agree, but I’d like to see him yell at his mum 😂

Indian cuisine dates back over 5000 years. Each region has its own traditions, religions and culture that influence its food. Hindus tend to be vegetarian due to an effort made by Guru’s and Rishi’s of moving away from violence. Indian food has been influenced by Mongolian, Persian and Chinese cuisine, among others. The common thread throughout the centuries remains the distinct mixing of spices that invariably give Indian cuisine its flavor and aroma.

If you want to learn more, see below.

  1. The Indian Cooking Course by Monisha Bharadwaj – She studied Indian history and then became a cook. Her book talks about the different regions, history, culture, and of course food (recipes included).
